Section Heading Beta

The section heading can be used at the start of larger sections of a page.

The section heading is not an alternative to headings in body text and should only be used on landing pages and as an h2 element.

The section heading consists of a slanted label (optional), a title, and a lead text (optional).

When generating the semantic markup for the elements, a distinction should be made between whether the title text or the label is a more meaningful heading for the following section.

In the example below, the label is the section heading and the title text, despite its visual size, is a paragraph element.
